Especially helpful to those who are first timers! 

What do I need to do to prepare myself for my first appointment?

Avoid using any exfoliating products two days prior to your microdermabrasion, dermaplaning or chemical peel appointment, including (but not limited to) : Retinol, glycolic, salicylic acid and facial scrubs. Please avoid excessive sun exposure two days prior to your appointment. *if you have a sunburn we'll have to reschedule appt* 

It must be a minimum of seven days after getting any botox and a minimum of 14 days after getting any filler to avoid moving the product around. 

Is your Aesthetician qualified?

Olivia is a licensed medical Aesthetician with over 9 years experience. -Please see "Papaya" tab to learn more about her career experience, qualifications and history in the beauty/wellness industry. 

Is there any downtime?

Microdermabrasion and Dermaplaning- No downtime! After your treatment you'll want to avoid swimming, steam rooms and saunas, the day of. Avoid excessive sun exposure for two days. Wearing face makeup is discouraged. Wear a hat if you can and always apply SPF throughout the day.

 

Chemical Peel- No intense downtime! 3-7 days of minor peeling/flaking of the skin. Avoid excessive sun exposure. Wear a hat if you can and always apply SPF throughout the day.

Does it make more sense to buy a package?

We always advise booking a single treatment to start. Upon coming in for your first treatment, during your consultation your Aesthetician be able to analyze your skin and come up with the appropriate treatment plan for you. At that time we can discuss package deals and VIP plans. 

Is microdermabrasion painful?
 

Not at all! In fact, it's a very satisfying feeling. The machine is adjustable so I'm able to turn the power up or down depending on your skins tolerance and response to the treatment.

How early should I arrive to my appointment ?

15-20 minutes early to find parking and be able to fill out your new client form. There are meters off Melrose Place and street parking on the surrounding streets. Arriving late cuts into your appointment time. 

How many treatments does it take to see results?

You start to see results within 4 treatments. Thats for microdermabrasion treatments, chemical peels and dermaplaning. *please note everyones is different and it depends on what we are working on and treating*  You'll leave feeling refreshed and glowing after each treatment. 

How often should I receive treatments?

For best results, every 4-6 weeks. Consistency is key!

If we are doing an acne bootcamp, for best results, every 2-3 weeks. 

Whats the best treatment for acne?

We always recommend starting the "First Timer" treatment. That will include a 15 minute consultation and skin analysis to be able to customize a treatment plan for you. Along with the customized microdermabrasion included in this service this makes for a great acne treatment.
